The prompt is to write about "an intellectual adventure." Consider the way TNC takes to the library and allows each book to lead him to the next and the next, how his learning gallops ahead, even as he's skipping his classes. Or, consider how each of his relationships teaches him something. Or, think about the way in which being a father is an intellectual adventure for him. Think about what you might have learned from grandparents, parents, a homeless guy on the street, and how what you learned there spiraled into something more fascinating.
Above all, think about the process of learning as an adventure. Remember Farge's metaphors of ocean, ship, discovery.
